Thank you to all the golfers, volunteers, sponsors and guest speakers who made our 11th annual event so successful
We expect to donate about $45,000 to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, Jimmy Fund and the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang Camp this year!

Thank you to all that participated or sponsored this year’s mini golf event
Each year in the United States, there are approximately 13,400 children under the age of 20 who are diagnosed with cancer. That’s about one in every 330 kids or 3 per week in Connecticut. That’s an overwhelming number of families whose lives will change forever in 2013. It’s a number that makes us instinctively ask:
“Why can life be so unfair?”
“What would I do if this happened to my child?”
“Why isn’t there a cure?”
At Golf Fore the Kids, we understand that we will not be able to answer these big questions. But we also know that there are little things – things within reach – that we can do to help the children and families affected by pediatric cancer.
That’s what we’re working on every day. Little things like supporting the hospital outreach program at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp so kids can share in the joy of camp while they’re in the hospital. Or, creating a special event for patients and families from the Hematology/Oncology clinic at Connecticut Children’s, so they can enjoy a first run movie without the worry of a crowded theater filled with runny noses and coughs.
For more than 10 years, we’ve been doing little things that have made a big difference. All inspired by our brave little soul who touched the lives of so many people during the 10 years he shared with us. And we continue to keep Jacob’s legacy alive by caring about the little things that impact kids and their families.

The support of people like you will help kids in Connecticut and throughout the world
